No flashing, ever

Other Way In discusses technologies that use rhythmic light. This website deliberately uses no flashing, strobing or rapidly pulsing visual effects of any kind, and no animation here approaches seizure-triggering flash patterns. Light-based experiences require screening and informed participation. A web page cannot ask for that, so it does not do it.

What is in place

• Semantic HTML with landmarks, one logical H1 per page and ordered headings.
• A skip link to main content, and full keyboard navigation with visible focus.
• Forms with real labels, described errors and no reliance on color alone.
• Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and decorative layers hidden from assistive technology.
• Motion reduced to near-zero when your system requests reduced motion.
• Contrast checked against AA for body and interface text.
• Expandable questions built from native HTML so they work without JavaScript.

Known gaps

This is a new site and we expect to find problems. Formal auditing with screen readers across browsers is planned, and photography alternative text will be revisited when final brand photography is added.

Physical access, seating, reclining arrangements, hearing considerations and support for people with disabilities are part of planning each experience. Please tell us what you need and we will be straightforward about what is and is not currently possible.
